8 Megapixel Samsung to challenge Nokia N82′s Camera-phone crown - July 28, 2008
Just as you were perched aloft on the top of the hill, happy that you’re holding in your hands virtually the best all-in-one multimedia and communications device (the Nokia N82), you’re suddenly aware that a higher peak lies in front of you. Yep, that’s the new Samsung i8510 Primera.

It boasts the new S60 v3 FP2 platform (Symbian OS 9.3), 128MB of Ram, 8 Megapixels, LED Flash, 120fps video capture, 8GB/16GB built in storage (along with a microSDHC slot), Support for 5.1 surround sound via 3.5mm headphone jack, USB 2.0, WiFi, GPS built-in and 3.5G connectivity. Oh, and throw in the 1200mAh battery as well.
Apart from the fact that it’s not a Nokia, it’s a slider, and that it doesn’t have a Xenon Flash, this is in everyway a N82 killer. No word on American 3G yet, but if it does come along, I think I’ll be sorely tempted to get this one…
